Our story

A chance encounter

Jackie met Peter on May 18th, 2019 while she was on holiday in New York. Free of plans that evening, Jackie's friends suggested she use a dating app to kill time. Having exhausted his monthly swipes on Tinder, Peter was also willing to give a new app a try. They downloaded Bounce, swiped right, and went out that same evening. The couple went on two dates during Jackie's vacation and kept in touch after she returned to London. Bounce went on to be a commercial failure, and was removed from the app store a year later.

Distance makes the heart grow fonder

Over the next two years, Jackie and Peter flew back and forth to see each other. A third date in Paris, a fourth in London, a fifth in Denver. It was bliss upon every reunion, and heartbreak on each departure. They say you're more likely to cry during an in flight movie, Peter will tell you the same.

Caught a break

In 2020, the pair was fortunate enough to take advantage of working remote. Peter lived with Jackie in London for four months, and in Taipei for another two. In spring of 2021, the couple moved back to New York together after Jackie secured a work visa. Peter left his job before he could be reprimanded for six months of slacking off.

Our wedding

The couple vowed to never spend their lives separated by an ocean again. So, on June 3rd, 2022, Jackie and Peter tied the knot! After City Hall, the couple celebrated with a few friends in a Chinatown bar nearby.

Our celebration

And now, we wish to celebrate our marriage with you! With family and friends spread far and wide, we decided we would bring the party to you. So this year, we will be hosting events in four of our favorite cities. Find us at one near you!

Yes, but not to karaoke or the blackjack tables.

What is the dress code?

Wine country casual, sport coats and sun dresses, yacht club initiation day.

We do not have a registry, since there's no room in our apartment for new appliances.
